One of North Melbourne’s classic old corner pubs, formerly the Crimean, has a new lease on life as Bobbie Peels. Owner Tony Metzner has turfed the heavy velvet curtains covering the windows and brightened the place up with a fresh coat of paint. The Russian Imperial vibe still holds strong, but it’s a fresher and less dusty version.
They’re obsessed with great IPA - Some would call it a Fixation, and so they did. Since launching late 2015, Fixation Brewing has been awarded the Trophy for Excellence in Consistency at the Australian International Beer Awards, following gold medal success in 2016, 2017 and 2018.
