All of the Above

All of the Above started as a streetwear clothing store in Fitzroy in 2007 but is now well-known in West Melbourne as the one-stop-shop for your screen printing needs.

“My wife Kerry, my brother-in-law, Todd and I had a studio out the back of our Fitzroy shop,” Elliot explains. “I used to screenprint in the studio for my own streetwear label Tryst as well as other designers, and it took off from there.”

As the business grew Elliot found a West Melbourne warehouse at the start of 2020 that could consolidate all their operations. They are now a team of eight.

“We chose West Melbourne because it is close to the city and to the train lines. This was important for our staff and clients, who were used to coming to us in Fitzroy, and later Brunswick.”

All of the Above focus on screen printing and embroidery of clothing for various organisations and have had clients from the National Gallery of Victoria, University of Melbourne and streetwear operators. They can also create artwork in house or print to a design.

“We try to mix it up because in this industry, if you just go with one client they can turn around and go overseas and you're stuck,” says Elliot.

“It also keeps the work interesting - no two jobs are the same. I describe it to people like I’m a chef and every day there’s a different menu and you have to create that. You don't really know the challenges that you're going to have to deal with to get through that job, so it keeps you sharp.”

Elliot learned the art of screen printing in New Zealand, studying a course at night and being taught by a friend that was working in the industry. He credits the longevity of his business to his staff.

“Clients come to us because of our team. We give good customer service and are good at what we do. We will guide you through your printing needs so that there’s a great result. ”
