Sphere Wellness Studio

Fitness isn’t just about looking good—it’s about feeling stronger in every part of your life.

At Sphere, they believe true transformation happens when physical health and mental well-being go hand in hand.

That’s the driving force behind Sphere Wellness Studio—a boutique health and recovery space on Errol Street, founded by Lonnie Pitcher with a mission to help people feel their best from the inside out.

Whilst Sphere itself is new, it’s backed by years of passion, insights, and experience. Lonnie’s fitness journey has taken him to Europe, Apollo Bay, and his most recent venture running a popular gym for hospital workers in North Melbourne.

With nearly two decades in the fitness industry, Lonnie knew what was missing from North Melbourne’s health scene: a studio designed for time-poor professionals and parents who’ve put their own wellbeing on the back burner.

“I wanted to create space for people who are 30 to 55-plus, who have kids or work full-time, and just want to feel like themselves again,” he says. “They don’t need a 24-hour gym. They want expert support and something simple that works - functional strength and conditioning, tailored to each person’s needs.”

“Sphere is about holistic wellness,” Lonnie says. “You’ve got fitness, mental health, nutrition—it’s all part of a bigger picture.”

Blending strength training, mindset support and recovery practices, Sphere isn’t your standard gym. It offers semi-private personal training (with a maximum of four people per session), 1:1 Personal Training, infrared sauna, and soon, an ice bath—all built around the idea of balance. The space itself is carefully styled, inspired by the polished feel of high-end wellness studios.

Ultimately, what Lonnie envisions for Sphere is that it becomes a community.

“Each month, we gather with our members for a relaxed bite or drink at one of North Melbourne’s favourite local venues,” says Lonnie. “I want Sphere to be more than fitness. It’s about creating a space where people feel connected and able to achieve their well-being goals.”

“I’ve always been passionate about people,” he says. “Seeing someone transform—not just physically, but mentally—that’s what lights me up. And that’s exactly what we’re here for at Sphere.”
